Tonga High School

Writer's picture: Siuta UaiseleSiuta Uaisele

My days were different

Mostly laughters

Not much work

Too lazy sometimes

But I was proud

To be a Tonga High School

Who cares if I learned so little

At least I learned some

I could have chosen to be a farmer

Or a fisherman

Could have stayed home all day.

Good friends

And amazing times

Other schools called us girls

Too soft

But they call us the smartest pupils out of all

I slept through maths

I slept through physics

I slept through economics

And I failed Tongan

Yet I discovered how to create endless energy

After falling asleep at the back half the school year

Lunch time is playing touch

After school is for punishment duty

Always for late or speaking in Tongan

In the morning is running away

Home time at interval

Our days were different

Work

Laughters

Lazy

Sometimes

But I was proud

To be a Tonga High School
